As parents we do so much for our kids...we aspire to become
However, despite our best efforts sometimes we struggle, we wonder what else can be done. Read through the eyes of two parents, Shradha & Mansi, who joined us in I Am A Teacher (IAAT).
"I Am A Teacher (IAAT) has made me a reflective parent. My interactions with my children have graduated from that of a parent who merely guided and disciplined, to a parent who reflects on the why's, how's and what's of being one. I have started viewing childhood with a new lens. I now realize the significance of letting children explore and discover the joy of learning on their own. And the best part is that the change is well acknowledged by my children too. They are seeing a transformed mother who took a journey within to change and connect with them and understand them. And they are proud of me for sure!"
- Shraddha Jain, PGDLT Candidate 2016-17
"I knew that I had to read stories to my children every night before they sleep. However, I was always anxious about results, that my children learn everything, quickly. And this is what I learnt in IAAT, to keep patience, yet continue to make efforts. Persevering in many ways without giving in to anxiety and anger"
- Mansi Sand, PGDLT Alumna
We believe that a better 'Teacher'is always a better 'Parent'...
In the past, many parents have gone through the IAAT program and have shared that it has not only made them better educators but have also given them insights to parenting and helped them connect with their children.
